New Jersey Restores $16.45 Million In Funding For Five Crisis Receiving & Stabilization Centers

The New Jersey Department of Human Services (DHS) announced $16.45 million in funding to support the development and operations of five regional Crisis Receiving and Stabilization Centers (CRSCs) in Bergen, Camden, Essex, Monmouth, and Morris counties. The funding was restored after the centers were removed from the state's fiscal year 2027 budget. According to the Mental Health Association in New Jersey (MHANJ), the funding will support staffing at facilities already built in Bergen and Essex counties and allow the remaining three centers to continue development toward full operations.
