New Jersey Awards Contract To Manage Medicaid Addiction Treatment To Rutgers; Mental Health Services Slated To Be Added To Initiative
On July 1, 2015, Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC) will begin managing certain publicly funded addiction treatment services for the New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) as the state’s interim managing entity (IME) for Medicaid addiction treatment services. Mental health services are slated to be added to the IME responsibilities in the future. DMHAS announced the IME contract in January 2015; the contract is valued at $9.2 million, and it runs from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2017. The IME will manage a centralized screening call center and warm line as well . . .
