New Mexico Launches App-Based Support For Treatment & Recovery Of Substance Use Disorder
On August 30, 2022, the New Mexico Human Services Department (HSD) announced a partnership with CHESS Health to provide peer support via the eRecovery Connections app for community members in treatment and recovery for substance use disorder (SUD). The app is part of the state's new Connections for Recovery Initiative, which equips New Mexico's behavioral health provider organizations with an additional tool to support people in treatment for opioid, alcohol, or other addictions. The goal is to provide a set of evidence-based digital tools and peer support as an extension of SUD treatment.
