New Mexico Keeps Contract With Non-Metro Area Agency On Aging, But Adds Greater Oversight
At the end of January 2018, the New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department (ALTSD) agreed to continue its contract with the Non-Metro Area Agency on Aging (NMAAA) for senior service administration, but the agreement calls for greater state oversight through June 2018. Prior to the agreement, ALTSD had intended to cancel the NMAAA contract effective January 31, 2018, because an ALTSD program review concluded that NMAAA’s billing and reimbursement procedures led to delays in paying its contracted senior service provider organizations.
