On June 1, 2022, New Mexico Top Organics-Ultra Health, a medical cannabis dispensary, and individual plaintiffs sued Blue Cross & Blue Shield Of New Mexico and other health plans in the state to seek a determination that medical cannabis is a covered health care service for treatment of behavioral health conditions.
