New Mexico Investigation Finds Many Deficiencies In DD Waiver Program
While investigating incidents of alleged abuse, neglect, and exploitation of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) who participated in the New Mexico Developmental Disabilities (DD) Waiver program, health officials found many program deficiencies. The New Mexico Department of Health (DOH) therefore recommended a series of reforms to prevent the abuse, neglect, and exploitation of disabled people.
