New York City ACS To Launch Free Vocational Training Pilot For Foster Youth Ages 16 To 24
The New York City Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) launched a two-year pilot program to provide vocational training, paid internships, and career pathways employment for youth with foster care and juvenile justice experience, and who have aged out of foster care. The program is called V-CRED, which stands for its components and goals: Vocational training that emphasizes a continuing responsibility toward education and personal development.
