New York City Administration for Children’s Services To Include New Requirements For Preventive Services In Child Welfare RFPs

On February 13, 2019, The New York City Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) released a concept paper proposing new requirements for preventive services in its next procurements for child welfare services. These procurements build on the success of existing services for children and families, design a shared framework across prevention and foster care services, and implement new strategies to improve safety, permanency, and well-being outcomes for New York City children and families. In preparation for these procurements, ACS worked with child welfare stakeholders to identify system strengths, gaps, and opportunities.
