New York City To Implement Respite Care Services For Youth At-Risk Of Entering Juvenile Justice System

The New York City Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) is planning to implement respite care services for youth who have come into contact with (or are at risk of coming into contact with) the juvenile justice system. A request for proposals (RFP) is planned for release on April 7, 2014; ACS intends to award up to two contracts valued at up to $500,000 annually. The selected contractors will provide up to 21 days of care in a licensed respite home each year for 50 to 55 youth between the ages of 7 and 17.
