New York City Launches Thrive NYC Mental Health Redesign With $1 Billion Budget & Phased Rollout

On November 16, 2015, New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio launched Thrive NYC, an initiative funded at nearly $1 billion, to redesign the city’s public mental health system. A phased rollout is planned, and many of the specific near-term program improvements in Thrive NYC were announced earlier in 2015 while the Mayor’s office and stakeholders were finalizing the plans for Thrive NYC.
