New York Launches Mobile Response Units To Provide Family Support & Preservation For At-Risk Children & Families
On May 26, 2022, the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) announced it launched mobile response units to provide interventions to provide family support and preservation services in Albany, Monroe, Onondaga, and Westchester counties. Each county with a mobile response unit also has protocols for using their services. The mobile response unit staff will work with the parent or caregiver and child to reduce or de-escalate identified behaviors and may provide intervention services to address any immediate concerns and ongoing needs.
