New York Medicaid Sued For Denying Children Mental Health Treatment
On March 31, 2022, children’s rights advocates sued the New York State Medicaid program for failing to provide children under age 21 with required access to intensive mental and behavioral home- and-community-based services (IHCB). The complaint was filed by Disability Rights New York, Children’s Rights, the National Health Law Program, and Proskauer Rose LLP. No hearing date has been set yet.
