New York To Pilot Home-Based Crisis Intervention Teams For Youth With Co-Occurring Mental Illness & I/DD
On April 5, 2023, the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) released a request for proposals (RFP) seeking a contractor to pilot two Home-Based Crisis Intervention (HBCI) teams for youth ages 5 through 20 years with co-occurring mental illness and intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD). The goal is to provide short-term critical mental health services so that at-risk children and youth can avoid psychiatric hospitalization.
