North Carolina Expands Project Spark Employment Support For Individuals With I/DD

The North Carolina Health and Human Services (NC DHHS) employment support initiative called Project Spark is launching 10 new locations across the state to provide services and supports to help up to 300 individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) find competitive integrated employment (CIE).

Currently, Project Spark has three host sites: Chatham Trades in Siler City, Wake Enterprises in Raleigh, and Tri-County Industries in Rocky Mount. New locations that are already operational or planned include Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Durham, Greenville/Kinston, Jacksonville, Wilmington, Wilson, Gastonia, Asheville, and Boone.
