North Carolina Health Plan To Help Provide Housing Assistance To Youth Aging Out Of Foster Care

On March 23, 2022, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) announced that, through its Healthy Blue Medicaid plan, it will help provide housing assistance to youth aging out of foster care. For this initiative, Blue Cross NC is collaborating with SaySo, a statewide association, part of Children’s Home Society (CHS) of North Carolina. Each year, more than 450 North Carolina children in foster care age out of the system.
