North Carolina Healthy Opportunities Pilots Reduced Medicaid Costs By $164 PMPM & Improved Social Outcomes
North Carolina's Healthy Opportunities Pilots (HOP) program reduced Medicaid health care costs by an average of $164 per member per month (PMPM) for the 31,597 people enrolled in the program, according to the results of a multi-year evaluation. According to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), the savings figure is net of both the cost of services delivered and the administrative costs required to operate the program.
