On October 30, 2024, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) opened a Capacity Building grant program with up to $5 million to help primary care provider organizations implement integrated behavioral health services. The grant program is focused on the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) in which primary care professionals work with an integrated behavioral health case manager and a psychiatric consultant to monitor and treat consumers for mild to moderate behavioral health conditions.
