North Carolina Medicaid Redesign To Improve Transitions Of Care For Children With IDD
North Carolina is planning to implement reforms to its Medicaid program and public behavioral health and disability support system. The redesign includes plans for improving transitions of care for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and for reducing gaps in IDD services.
Currently children with IDD or mental health disorders under age three receive early intervention services from Child Development Service Agencies (CDSAs) administered by the public health department.
