North Carolina’s Initial Olmstead Plan Calls For 2,300 More HCBS Waiver Slots Over Two Years
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) initial Olmstead plan calls for the state to offer 2,300 more people access to Medicaid home- and community-based services (HCBS) waiver slots by December 31, 2023. During calendar year 2022, NCDHHS will add 1,000 more Innovations HCBS waiver slots, 114 more CAP/DA slots, and enough more CAP/C slots to serve 5,000 people.
