North Dakota To Allow In-Room Electronic Surveillance Equipment At Assisted Living Communities & Nursing Homes
On April 11, 2019, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum signed legislation Senate Bill (SB) 2113, to require assisted living communities and nursing homes to honor resident requests to use electronic surveillance equipment in their rooms. However, only a resident or a guardian or someone with health care power of attorney for the resident can set up a camera in a resident's room.
