Number Of California Seniors With Disability Projected To More Than Double By 2060
The number of seniors with one or more disabilities in the State of California is projected to grow by 170%, from just over 1.0 million in 2015 to 2.7 million by 2060. Between 2017 and 2060, the state's population age 65 and older is projected to increase by 144%, from 5.5 million in 2017 to 13.4 million in 2060. In 2017, the 5.5 million adults age 65 and older represented 14% of the state's population of 39.54 million. By 2016, the state's population is projected to reach 50.98 million.
