Ohio HCBS Waiver Amendments Add Employment Services To Adult Day Supports

Ohio is adding new adult day services — career planning, individual employment supports, and group employment supports — to three of its waivers for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). On February 22, 2017, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) announced that the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approved amendments to DODD’s Level One, Self-Empowered Life Funding (SELF), and Individual Options (IO) Waivers. The amendments include new services and modifications to existing services that will go into effect on April 1, 2017.
