Ohio DODD Suspends Admissions & Revokes Licenses Of 8 ResCare-Operated ICF-DDs
The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) suspended admissions and proposed revoking licenses of eight of the nine intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities (ICF-IIDs) in the state operated by ResCare. The facilities had failed state inspections. The affected ICF-IIDs are located in Franklin, Gallia, Knox, Putnam, and Stark counties. DODD proposed revoking the licenses on October 3, 2017, and on December 5, 2017, ResCare told DODD it intended to close five of the ICF-IIDs.
The 71 residents of these facilities will be transitioned to community-based housing and waiver services. On February 6, 2018 . . .
