Ohio Launching $20-Million Multi-Generational, Long-Term Study Of Behavioral Health Factors & Outcomes
The Ohio State University is launching a new long-term, statewide research initiative to identify the root causes of persistent emotional distress, suicide, and drug use in the state. The initiative, dubbed State of Ohio Adversity and Resilience (SOAR), is funded by a $20 million grant from the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) as part of a larger investment in behavioral health applied research and innovation.
