On April 9, 2021, the Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) announced it had awarded six Medicaid managed care organization (MCO) contracts, and had deferred for additional consideration regarding its decision related to incumbent Buckeye Community Health Plan. The MCO contracts are valued at more than $20 billion annually.
