Ohio Medicaid Planning New Service Definitions & Billing Codes For Community Behavioral Health
On July 1, 2015, the Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) and the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) will launch an administrative initiative in its larger redesign of Medicaid community behavioral health services by proposing changes to current service definitions and updating billing codes. This initiative is part of a larger effort to ensure that the behavioral health benefit includes a continuum of services of varying intensities to meet consumer needs, and to ultimately improve overall integration of Medicaid physical and behavioral health care services.
