Ohio Medicaid Expands Behavioral Health Services On January 1
On January 1, 2018, the Ohio Medicaid program expanded coverage of specialty behavioral health services and shifted its behavioral health claims process to an updated coding system. The redesign is intended to align the state’s billing codes for all Medicaid behavioral health services with national coding standards in preparation for integration of behavioral health services into managed care, which is expected to take place in July 2018.
