Ohio Nursing Homes Dispute State Interpretation Of Budget Phrasing For Medicaid Nursing Home Rate Methodology
On February 14, 2024, three nursing home associations in Ohio sued the state Department of Medicaid over its interpretation of a change to nursing home rates in the state budget enacted on July 1, 2023. The complaint, a writ of mandamus, was filed with the Ohio Supreme Court by LeadingAge Ohio, the Ohio Health Care Association, and the Academy of Senior Health Sciences, Inc. No hearing date has been scheduled.
