Ohio Selects KEPRO To Complete Statewide Pre-Admission Screening & Resident Review For People With Serious Mental Illness

On July 9, 2015, the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (MHAS) announced had selected KEPRO Inc. to complete statewide Pre-Admission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR)-Serious Mental Illness (SMI) assessments. KEPRO replaces Ascend Management Innovations, the incumbent to the previous contract. KEPRO’s contract began July 1, 2015 and runs through June 30, 2018. PASRR requires that all applicants to Medicaid-certified nursing facilities be assessed to determine whether they might have a mental illness or developmental disability.
