Ohio Suspends Medicaid Payments To 57 Home Health Providers & Workers Over Suspected Fraud
The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) suspended 49 Medicaid providers and workers from the Medicaid program after an analysis of billing patterns identified what the agency described as a high probability of fraudulent activity. ODM announced the suspensions on June 4, 2026. On June 16, 2026, ODM suspended payments to eight additional high-risk providers and workers connected to the earlier enforcement action.
Medicaid payments to the suspended providers have been withheld pending further investigation. ODM said it is focused on identifying and stopping coordinated fraud schemes involving home health, hospice, and waiver services.
