Ohio’s Department Of Rehabilitation & Correction & Department Of Youth Services To Consolidate Administrative Functions

On December 18, 2017, the Ohio Office of Budget and Management Controlling Board approved an agreement that will allow the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC) and the Department of Youth Services (DYS) to consolidate office functions. The two departments will continue to operate separate facilities and community-based programs and supervision. The agreement will allow the two departments to co-locate and share a single building, and will allow them to share back-office and administrative services. The physical move is scheduled to take place September 1, 2018.
