Oklahoma County Commissioners Ask State To Return The County’s $1.5 Million Payment Toward A Psychiatric Hospital Project That Has Ended

The Oklahoma County Board of Commissioners asked the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) to return the county’s payment of $1.5 million toward its share of the construction costs for the now-terminated Donahue Behavioral Health Hospital project. The project had received funding through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The now-discontinued project was initially envisioned as a 330-bed facility at Oklahoma State University–Oklahoma City (OSU–OKC), according to an ODMHSAS spokesperson.
