Oklahoma Governor Creates Child Welfare Task Force To Improve Child Outcomes

On January 10, 2023, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt signed Executive Order 2023-01 to form a Child Welfare Task Force to make recommendations by October 1, 2023 on how to improve the state’s child welfare system to improve child outcomes. Since January 2012, the state has been implementing a settlement to a class action lawsuit filed against the state’s foster care system.
