Oklahoma Launches Pay-For-Success Project To Reduce Female Incarceration Rate
On April 11, 2017, Oklahoma launched a pay-for-success (PFS) project with Family & Children’s Services (F&CS) that will focus on reducing incarceration rates among females. The contract began on April 10 for one year with an option to renew for four additional one-year periods. For the project, F&CS will enroll up to 125 women into its Women in Recovery (WIR) prison diversion program annually, with 625 new admissions if the contract is renewed for the full five-year period.
