Older Adults In Senior Housing Experience Better Health Outcomes
Older U.S. adults who moved into senior housing experienced better health outcomes in most instances compared to those who remained living in the community. Older adults who move into senior housing and care communities have decreased vulnerability after approximately three months post-move-in, live longer than their counterparts in the community, are less vulnerable to adverse health outcomes, and receive more health care services at home.
Specifically, major health outcome findings for those in senior housing include:
