Oregon Medicaid Launches Nutrition Benefits For Members With Complex Health Conditions
The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) launched two new Medicaid nutrition benefits for eligible Oregon Health Plan (OHP) members: a fruit and vegetable benefit and a pantry stocking benefit. The benefits, which went live on July 1, 2026, are intended for members with serious health conditions, such as chronic kidney disease, diabetes, and cancer. The state expects the nutrition benefits to improve self-management and health outcomes, reduce unnecessary emergency department utilization, and ultimately lower health care costs.
