Oregon Medicaid Waiver Going Live In Phased Rollout To Cover Health-Related Social Needs
In March 2024, the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) began its phased rollout to cover health-related social needs (HRSN) under its 1115 Medicaid waiver for the Oregon Health Plan (OHP). The services include outreach and engagement, climate resources, housing benefits, and nutrition services. The demonstration is effective through September 30, 2027.
Oregon was approved to spend up to $119 million in community capacity building funds (CCBF) to enable the new waiver services.
