Oregon To Seek Federal Approval For A Basic Health Program For People Earning Up To 200% FPL 

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) is seeking federal approval to launch a basic health program (BHP) that would cover people earning from 138% up to 200% of the federal poverty level (FPL). The state anticipates launching the program in July 2024. An estimated 100,000 people are projected to qualify for BHP enrollment.;;

The BHP will cover essentially the same services as the Oregon Health Plan (OHP), the state’s Medicaid program. However, the BHP will not cover long-term services and supports (LTSS). People needing LTSS would need to meet traditional Medicaid income and asset eligibility limits . . .
