Oregon To Spend $65 Million To Support 146 New Behavioral Health Beds & 128 Existing Beds
Oregon recently announced it will invest $65 million statewide to create 146 new residential behavioral health treatment beds and for the continuation of 128 existing beds, significantly expanding Oregon’s capacity to serve adults who need care.
House Bill 2059 from 2025’s legislative session enabled the capacity expansion for residential behavioral health services providing withdrawal management, residential treatment, and psychiatric inpatient care services. New beds are expected to come online between December 2026 and January 2028.
