Organizations Billing For E-Visits Rose 40% Between 2021 & 2022

Between the third quarter of 2021 and the third quarter of 2022, the number of provider organizations that billed for at least 50 e-visits increased by 39.8% to 471 organizations, representing 0.5% of organizations that billed for e-visits. These 471 organizations were among the 2.7 million included in the Trillium Health all-payer database, which provided data for the analysis. E-visits are defined as emails or electronic messages exchanged through an electronic health record consumer portal.;;
