Over A Third Of I/DD Direct Support Professionals Dissatisfied With Compensation
More than one-third (38%) of direct support professionals (DSPs) for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) reported in a survey that their compensation in 2023 is too low. Compared to parallel surveys conducted in 2019 and 2021, the percentage of DSPs dissatisfied with their compensation has declined from 62% in 2019 and 50% in 2021.
