Over Half Of Young Adults Concerned About Their Mental Health, But Only 12% Of Adults Report Mental Health Visits

Among adults ages 18 to 32, 60% said they were concerned about their mental health in response to a CVS Health/Harris Poll survey. However, only 12% reported visiting a psychiatrist, psychologist, psychotherapist, or well-being therapist to address their mental health concerns. Two-thirds of the survey respondents aged 18 to 32 years said they “know a lot of people” in their communities struggling with mental health issues and approximately 56% of physicians reported that they had seen mental wellness declining among their patients.

The poll was conducted in March 2023 among a national sample of 3,400 people . . .
