Peer-To-Peer Support Equally Effective To Standard Services In Maintaining Older Adult Well-Being
Peer-to-peer support services are equally effective to standard community services in maintaining the well-being of older adults. Both groups had improvements in their mental and physical well-being. Those who received peer-to-peer services had a 0.2-point improvement in mental health scores, and a 1.7-point improvement in physical well-being compared to those who received standard community services. The peer-to-peer group had an increase in anxiety symptoms compared to the group that received standard services; the difference in scores was 0.36 points.
