Pennsylvania To Boost Long-Term Care Spending By 63% In 2022-2023 Budget

The 2022-2023 Pennsylvania budget signed on July 8, 2022, increased the state's long-term care spending by 63%. The budget includes $515 million for long-term care—nursing homes, assisted living and personal care homes. The funding is intended to support facilities in creasing staffing, cover wage increases, coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19)-related costs, and infrastructure enhancements.
