Pennsylvania Attorney General Sues 14 Golden Living Nursing Homes For Failure To Provide Basic Care

Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane filed a suit in the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania against 14 Golden Gate National Senior Care, LLC, dba Golden Living, locations. The state is suing for violating the Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law, breach of contract, and unjust enrichment. The injunction order states that these facilities failed to provide basic care to their residents by understaffing their Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs), breached their Medicaid contract by requesting per diem payments for services that were not provided, and falsely marketed their services to both current and potential consumers.
