Number Of Pennsylvania Children & Adults Receiving Autism Services Triples Between 2005 To 2011
The number of adults and children with autism receiving services through the Pennsylvania Bureau of Autism Services nearly tripled between 2005 and 2011, from 19,862 in 2005 to 55,830 in 2011. The number of adults receiving autism services increased by 334%, from 1,407 in 2005, to 6,113 in 2011.
