Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court Orders Rebid Of Medicaid Managed Long-Term Care Contracts, Voids Community HealthChoices Awards
The Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania has ordered the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) to rebid its Community HealthChoices (CHC) managed care organization (MCO) contracts for Medicaid managed long-term services and supports (LTSS), according to an order issued on April 2, 2026.
In its ruling, the court voided the procurement and the contract awards, finding that the procurement process was flawed, including issues with bid scoring. DHS has not issued a public statement regarding the order or indicated when it will issue a new procurement.
