Pennsylvania Community Correction Center Recidivism Rates Down By 11.3%
Between July 2014 and June 2015, recidivism rates among Pennsylvania state prisoners released from the Department of Corrections (DOC) 42 contracted community corrections centers dropped from 24% to 21.3%, for a reduction of 11.3%. Six of the centers reduced recidivism rates below their target baseline and qualified for a performance incentive that increased their DOC per diem rate by one percent. One center was placed on warning status because its recidivism rates were above the established baseline.
