Pennsylvania Health Care Association Launches ‘Care For The Aging’ Workforce Initiative To Address Long-Term Care Staffing Gaps

The Pennsylvania Health Care Association (PHCA) has launched Care For The Aging, a workforce development initiative focused on addressing staffing shortages in long-term care settings across the state.

According to the LeadingAge PA;2026 State of PA Nursing Homes Report, 68% of the 123 nursing homes that;participated;reported having more than five open direct care positions;for certified nursing assistants, licensed practical nurses, and registered nurses. The respondents;represent;20% of all nursing homes in Pennsylvania.;;

The PHCA initiative is designed to increase awareness of career opportunities in skilled nursing . . .
