On January 1, 2018, Pennsylvania launched a new 1915(c) home- and community-based services waiver, called Community Living Waiver, for individuals with autism and developmental and intellectual disabilities (I/DD). The new waiver will offer services to up to 1,050 individuals statewide each year. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved the waiver for a five-year period on December 20, 2017.
